I lied.

I know I said I would be blogging about the differences between aesthetics and attraction but meh I don't feel inspired. I'm more inspired to ramble because I don't feel very intellectual at the moment. I have been doing pretty much nothing for the past two months... So much for getting a job! Everyone wants to hire someone with experience so where the f do you get experience? I'm better off spending more time on my blog!

Anyway. Before I left Kuching, everyone told me to try very hard not to get fat or told me to prepare myself because I will get fat. I've been in Melbourne for more than half a year... I do not see any significant weight gain. Adam's even lost weight. Sure, the food is good... But it's just not the same. I mean like it's cool I got to try new things but I prefer the food I grew up with. I've been trying to recreate dishes like fried 3 layer pork (pork belly) with ginger, lean pork and potatoes with ginger in black soya sauce, fried bak choy/ladies fingers (I don't understand why the ladies fingers here are so minuscule!)/long beans with garlic. T^T Any Kuchingites out there share the same grief?!

And do you know what sucks most about being overseas? You drop off the face of the earth. Back home, everyone is going about their usual lives while you have to construct a whole new life for yourself. While everyone only have to adjust to your absence, you'll have to get used to the idea that you left everyone back home. I really appreciate the ones who make an effort to keep in touch because although I know that once I go back, it would be as though I've never left... It gets pretty lonely out here. Making new friends is not the solution because each friend is irreplaceable. There is no substitute. :(

Oh! You know those friendship quotes and memes like, 'good friends come to your house and sit in your living room, best friends come and raid your kitchen' or 'good friends call before coming over, best friends just honk the shit out of their minds'. Sure, they used to be cute and funny because it's relatable, but now it's becoming overrated and annoying because I'm starting to feel like the posters (or sharers) are trying to convince people that they have best friends and if you have to try to convince people, chances are, you don't have what you're trying to convince people you have. TL;DR? People who post about friendship are trying too damn hard.

Gonna catch Batman now, ta!

Hey you pretentious fuck.

Source: Google Images
Yes, you. You, who so strongly advocated against Lynas and Kony or whatever on Facebook for ONE day?

Let me tell you something, I have friends who constantly raise awareness regarding cruelty towards animals, actively volunteering in shelters, taking in the homeless and the sick and promoting pet care on Facebook. Not only that, they practice what they preach. They do not focus on a single case in a situation - although they do try to shed light on each individual cases they come across such as the sick couple who abused their poodle - but they focus on a situation as a whole. What's the point of just harping on about one neglected pet from one incident or one cruel owner... Right? (Do not misunderstand, all life is sacred and saving one is as important as saving many, what I'm saying is being fixated on just a singular case in this world of many!)

They are passionate about what they do, they believe strongly in their values and they are sincerely trying to make a difference.

How about you? Sharing a link on Facebook trying to convince your friends to do the same and calling it a day? What a humanitarian! The award of the most pretentious fuck who has contributed the least goes to you. Whoot!

People who genuinely care don't just share once and forget about it. Do you still post about child abuse or pollution? No? So you don't get to feel all high and mighty just because you shared some stupid link or liked some stupid Facebook picture of a starving or sick child/elderly person. It just makes you a pretentious fuck if you do. However, if you don't feel anything when you click 'like' or 'share' except maybe a need to spread awareness... Good for you. Keep it real. :)

Blah: I actually wanted to post this a while back so it's pretty outdated but still legit... Anyway here it is haha the aftermath of viral shits.

We have TPG at our apartment now and I love it, it's stable and super fast and most of all! UNLIMITED.

It makes me think of home because I was connected to the internet 24/7 back then and there. It sounds like a small thing but it's those small things in life that you will miss the most.

I have a totally valid reason for why I haven't updated in such a long time. Don't think I don't miss blogging! It's just that I've terminated my broadband services with Vodafone and I don't feel nice leeching off the boyfie because truth be told I've been playing Tetris Battle nonstop on his broadband so... Anyway, the good news is, we're getting TPG which means unlimited internet! :D

Visit me in 5 days and if you're lucky, the TPG would be installed.
